Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as greeting to Upward Basketball leagues and Wild Game dinners.

Mission Outreach

Grapevine is thrilled to be part of the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus here and around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and prayers. We are active members of the Southern Baptist Convention and generously contribute to great commission causes. Click the Southern Baptist Convention logo to the right and read more about Southern Baptist causes.  Each year we send out many missionaries from our church both in and out of this country. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Grapevine cares about youth!!  We strive for perfection in our youth ministry and to reach as many students as we can!!  The avenues we use to reach these goals and students are retreat, camps, D-now weekends and mission trips.  But the number one way we strive for these goals are through our WNLive program and our Sunday morning gender exclusive small groups.  If you have any questions please contact Mike Jicka our Associate Pastor of Students. jicka@gbcky.net

Welcome to Pennyrile F.A.I.T.H. Riders – motorcycle ministry for the Pennyrile West Kentucky Region – a ministry of Grapevine Baptist Church – Madisonville, KY. Our F.A.I.T.H. Riders chapter was commissioned on November 15, 2015 as the 314th chapter under the ministry of the First Baptist Church at the Mall, Lakeland, FL, the originating chapter. Our mission is clearly to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will listen as we share in our love of motorcycles.  We are a ministry, not a club or gang.  As we go, no matter where we go, we want to be ambassadors for Christ.  As we wear our F.A.I.T.H. Riders patches and pins on our jackets, vests,  and shirts, we are proclaiming that we stand for Christ and as the verse says, we want to implore others to be reconciled to Him.  (2Cor. 5:20). Please read through this information and commit to stand with us in the standards for this ministry.  We typically meet once each month and plan our upcoming ministries and rides.  Welcome and may God bless and keep you as you ride for Him. Each Commissioned Chapter of F.A.I.T.H. Riders has a special responsibility to “set the standard” for the Ministry. We only accomplish this through obedient surrender to the voice of the Father, and NOT by our own efforts.

The F.A.I.T.H. Riders  — Patch/Logo — consists of four primary colors and four symbols:

White God’s light and glory, in which all darkness disappears and there are no shadows.

Red The blood of Jesus, which cleanses the sinner of all sin and makes him or her the righteous saint of God because of its being shed at the Cross. Salvation to us is free, but its cost is priceless. It represents Jesus.

Blue Regal, the color of royalty. Our sins cost the life of the King of Kings, and He gave it willingly so we could have the way to salvation. We are the only created being offered this gift.

Gold Purity.  Gold can only be made pure by passing through a crucible’s fire until the impurities are removed and the goldsmith can see his reflection on the surface of the metal. This is a picture of what happens when a sinner passes through the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Cross The symbol of where the Prince of Glory died. The Cross on our colors is empty—the price of salvation is paid in full. Our savior, Jesus Christ, ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is our advocate to the Father, seeing that the covenant provisions are being ministered to us.

The Flag One God; a nation set apart as long as we give glory to the God who blesses the nations.

The Stars There are only seven complete stars in the blazon. Seven is a symbolic number in scripture that describes perfection and completeness. Everything in life is complete in Jesus Christ.

The Eagle A bird of prey that represents power, justice, and God’s forthcoming wrath upon the unholy.

The F.A.I.T.H. Riders are made up of people from all areas of life, but we do have a common interest — enjoyment and enthusiasm for motorcycles, all makes and models. No matter what you ride – or even if you don’t – all are welcome.

What does F.A.I.T.H. stand for?

F

is for Forgiveness. We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s forgiveness.

A

is for Available. Forgiveness is available for all, but it is not automatic.

I

is for Impossible. It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. It is also impossible to please God through our own actions.

T

is for Turn. Turn means to repent from sin and self to Christ only.

H

is for Heaven. Heaven is eternal life, here and now and in the hereafter – but only through Christ.  Forsaking all, I trust Him!

The Ministry of F.A.I.T.H. Riders

The command of God implores us as we “go into all the world we are to preach the Gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15); the F.A.I.T.H. Riders take this calling seriously as the lifeblood of its existence and passion. This is a ministry, not a riding club or gang, and our sole purpose is to share the life-changing Good News by equipping the saints to engage in practical ministry opportunities.

Through the ministry of F.A.I.T.H. Riders

, bikers and others are learning about Jesus Christ and receiving His awesome gift of salvation and eternal life in Heaven with Him. F.A.I.T.H. Riders is reaching people with their bikes who may not normally step foot into an organized church or Bible study. It’s putting rubber, as well as shoe leather, onto the Gospel message.
